Meetings start at 7 PM with a brief business meeting and then a program.

How can we learn from nature to live more sustainably and resiliently? The Conservation Foundation’s DuPage County Programs Director, Amy Phillips, will share an introduction to the field of biomimicry, highlight her work with the Deep Roots Initiative, and invite participants to consider what they can learn from nature to address the pressing challenges of our age. Hint: it all starts with ecosystems.”

Aug 7: Designing a Flower Bed with Seasonal Interest
Presented by Susan Somers, U of I Extension
Have you ever seen a garden that just took your breath away? You visit again, two months later, and the garden is again in full glory. How do people do this? How do design a garden that offers visual interest through the seasons? This lesson will walk you through the design process step-by-step, You will learn how to plan a garden that will offer you visual interest spring through fall with a few winter accents as well.
